The village of Riomaggiore Cinque Terre
In accordance with the tradition the origins of Riomaggiore date back to VIII century, when it has been founded by a group of Greek refugee.
Viticulture, wine trade and touristic flow are the resources of this village, but it is known all over the world for its “Via Dell’ Amore”, path excavated in the rocks, dropping from the cliff to the sea, linking it to Manarola village.
Groups and excursionists can arrive to Monterosso – the last village of Cinque Terre – leaving this village and passing through the coast pathway.
The itinerary, unique in the world for its beauty, winds along a wild and uncontaminated scenery.
From Rio Canale and Fossola falls it is possible to take a boat and see all the coast, with its bands and terraces Vineyard, which were the passion of the Florentine painter Telemaco Signorini.
